FAMILY ATTENTION CULTURE
Expand Your World

Children are growing up in environments increasingly shaped by recommendations, personalisation and repetition. At Master Crafters Network Hub C.I.C., we believe one response is

intentional expansion through an increase in cultural capital

Different cultures...

More questions...

More skills...

Different people...

More perspectives...

Provides better things to become curious about...

World Learning Labs bring children and their grown-ups together to encounter subjects beyond their everyday experience. Each Lab is led by people with knowledge, skills, culture or expertise worth sharing..

WHY?

If algorithms learn from what we repeatedly give our attention to, one response is to intentionally give our families something new to pay attention to and why not create new and useful neuro-pathways in the mean time?

HOW?

Learning another language introduces unfamiliar sounds, patterns, meanings, cultures and perspectives which interrupts algorithmic bias and epistemic filtering.

WHAT?

It gives children and adults something active to practise, discuss, remember and discover together. That is Family Attention Culture in practice.
